Mount Eval

Part of the pair of mountains together with Mount Grizim in the vicinity of Shekhem. Moshe commanded Bnei Yisrael to go there to read the blessings and the curses upon entering the land and Yehoshua executed this commandment. Mount Eval was the mountain of the curses where an altar was built and the Torah was written on great stones.
