Kadesh Barnea

A desert oasis and settlement in the northeastern Sinai. The Four Kings battled in Kadesh. Moshe sent the spies to scout the Land of Canaan from Kadesh Barnea. Miriam died and was buried at Kadesh. After her death, while in Kadesh, Bnei Yisrael complained that they lacked water, and Moshe brought forth water from the rock for them. Kadesh Barnea is mentioned as being part of the southern border of the Land of Israel.
