Eilat

A city on the coast of the Reed Sea (Yam Suf) gulf. As Eil Paran, it is mentioned in the war between the Four Kings and the Five Kings. Bnei Yisrael passed through it on their journey from Egypt to Israel. Shlomo built a port there and Yehoshafat's ships were destroyed there. Uziya regained its sovereignty for the Kingdom of Yehuda and it was lost again during the reign of Ahaz.
