Shunem

A city in the tribal territory of Yissachar, where the Philistines camped against Shaul before the battle in Gilboa in which Shaul was killed. The woman from Shunem gave Elisha lodging in her home. In return Elisha promised this barren woman a child. The child was born but grew up and died. Elisha revived the boy and brought him back to life.
