Ramot Gilead
מלכים א כ"ב:ג'
A city of refuge in the tribal territory of Gad. It fells into the hands of Aram and Ahav invited Yehoshafat to join him in conquering it back. In that battle Ahav was killed by a stray arrow. Ahav's son, Yoram also tried to reconquer Ramot Gilead and he was injured in battle. Yehu was appointed king, charged with wiping out Ahav's dynasty and destroying the worship of Baal while he was stationed in Ramot Gilead.
