Michmas

A city in the tribal territory of Binyamin, Michmas was the location of the Philistine encampment in one of major battles against Shaul. In this battle Yonatan carried out a brave, surprise attack turning the tide of the battle. Michmas is mentioned as one of the cities conquered on Sanheriv's campaign. It was resettled during the Return to Zion.
