Eshtaol

Eshtaol is a city in the plains of Yehuda and Dan.

Currently identified with Eshtaol (Y. Schwartz).

• Shimshon was active and, later, buried in the area between Zor’a and Eshtaol (Judges 13, 25; Judges 16, 31).
• Men from the tribe of Dan set out from Eshtaol to find a different tribal portion of land (Judges 18, 1-11).
