Azekah

A city in the tribal territory of Yehuda. Yehoshua pursued the 5 southern kings till Azeka. The Philistines camped near there before the famous battle between David and Goliath. Fortified by Rehavam, it was one of the last fortified cities during Nevukhadnetzar's conquest of Yehuda. It was resettled during the Return to Zion.
